One of the many species of gaultheria from the Chilean and Argentinian Patagonia. This species grows as a shrub or even a small tree. It has pointed leaves and edible fruits. Will tolerate freeze and even short periods of snow.

It can be grown in large pots or as a big shrub in the ground. Will tolerate temperatures toawards the low 30's  F  (around 0°C) however it's best to protect it from freezes.
