This begonia has recently attractted much attention in cultivation than in previous years. An easy species to cultivate, the only critical requirement is not to be overwatered.
It name comes from the microscopic hairs that covers its leaves, giving them the impression of being grey.
Its natural distribution are the Cerrados and Caatingas o Pernambuco, Bahia and Minas Gerais in Brazil.
Will tolerate temperatures toawards the low 30's F (around 0°C) however it's best to protect it from freezes.
