A very beautiful begonia with big leaves. The leaves are thick and have strongly marked veins with a deep purple underside. It also have big flowers. It's perfect for being grown in big pots. Very interesting begonia species.
I comes from the Santa Catarina state in southern Brazil. Very rare available as seeds.

Will tolerate temperatures toawards the low 30's F (around 0°C) however it's best to protect it from freezes.
