Native to Colombia, this gesneriad has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.

I has beautiful digitalis-like flowers, and is also tolerant of some cold spells, due to its mountainous origin.

Will tolerate temperatures towards the low 30's F (around 0°C) however it's best to protect it from freezes.
