This gesneriad is from a small area in the Bahia state, Brazil. It forms a small tuber and also has beautiful bluish violet flowers. In medium light conditions it has a sprawling habit.
It's easy to grow and will be a great piece of conversation in your plant collection.
This species is related and within the same clade that Sinningia harleyi.
This species is not tolerant to cold weather. Keep it always above 15°C.
