It was discovered in the beginning of the 19th century in a small area around Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and shortly after it was believed to be extinct in the wild.
Rediscovered in the 21th century, it's a magnificent gesneriad, with very beautiful flowers.
It's easy to grow and will be a great piece of conversation in your plant collection.
